BioBlitz Products
BioBlitz is used when it is desirable to establish a strong colony of bacteria, such as in drain lines that drain slowly, in grease traps, lift stations, in manholes upstream from trouble spots, etc.), to eat grease and other biodegradable waste. They are formulated to replicate quickly and reach a high count of bacteria within a few days and should be used within 10 days after hydrating with water as the bacteria run out of nutrient and begin to die off.
Dividing the powder to make multiple batches before hydration is NOT RECOMMENDED, because the bacteria can’t be adequately blended to acquire equal distribution with the other components. On the other hand, it is perfectly ok to divide the Dosing Material (after it has been hydrated) for use at multiple treatment locations.

BioAct20 Petroleum Degrader
Part #8271
BioAct20 is intended for use when petroleum contamination exists and there is a fair amount of retention time, such as in marshes, contaminated soil, etc.
It is a powdered product, sold by the pound. One pound of this powdered product, combined with tap water, makes 20 gallons of Dosing Material and is typically applied by spraying.
Enough Dosing Material to cause it to come in contact with the contaminates needs to be applied. For example, if the contaminated area is a marsh or lake, we suggest spraying 20 gallons of Dosing Material onto one acre of surface area, preferably on a calm day.
When soil is contaminated with petroleum, we suggest tilling to loosen the contaminated soil, then apply enough Dosing Material for it to saturate all of the loosened contaminated soil.
We normally package this product in one pound bags (each bag makes 20 gallons of Dosing Material). If you plan to treat a large area and prefer it to be packaged in larger bags, we are happy to do so without any added charge.
Splitting a larger bag of powdered product to make smaller batches of Dosing Material is not recommended.
The active components of Biotize LLC’s biological products (DrainMainTainR, BioBlitz-100, FOG-Away, and Waste-Away) include multiple strains of bio-safety level 1 bacteria (the safest level – not known to cause harm to humans, plants or animals).
Every strain of bacteria used in our products is produced in-house and tested by an independent laboratory for purity, so we know it is free of contaminants and unwanted strains with less potential to harm humans, plants or animals than the bacteria an average person has on their hands between washings.
